To keep your medical coding up to date, we have added to EMSOW all new codes from 2021 ICD-10-CM, removed those no longer in use, and updated code descriptions. Keep your PACS updated!

[#20933] Collect card payments from insurance companies

Insurance companies often send a virtual debit card instead of checks. EMSOW now makes it possible to charge those cards right from the payment posting window!

To do this, you will need an active Stripe integration. Add your Stripe account to EMSOW using our new Stripe Accounts module: Setup → Billing → Stripe Accounts.

To charge a card, double-click a service record in Processing or Billing and go Operations → Post payment. Then select Primary insurance or Secondary insurance in the From field and click OK:

The card will be charged automatically unless the Do not charge card over Stripe checkbox is selected.
